Your Child Shouldn't Just Attend School. They Should Belong Somewhere.

Children learn in classrooms, but they grow through relationships, encouragement, accountability, shared
experiences, and people who know them well enough to notice when something changes.
The Now Academy is intentionally building a small learning community where children, families,
educators, and mentors grow together.

Small Cohorts • Strong Relationships • Family Partnership • Shared Purpose

You Want Your Child to Be Seen.

You want someone to notice when your child finally understands something that used to frustrate them.
You want someone to recognize when they’re becoming more confident.
You want someone to know when they’re struggling.
You want educators who understand more than a name on a roster.
And you want to know that you have a voice in your child’s educational journey.

That’s difficult to build when relationships become secondary to scale.

Small Enough to Know Them. Intentional Enough to Grow Them.

The Founding Kindergarten Cohort is designed for approximately 10 students.
That creates opportunities for educators to better understand:

  • How each child learns
  • What excites them
  • Where they need support
  • What they’re becoming more confident in
  • How they communicate
  • How they interact with others
  • Where they’re ready to grow

Belonging doesn’t happen because children share a room. It develops when people consistently learn, build,
solve problems, celebrate, and grow together.

A Place to Learn—and Learn How to Belong.

BE KNOWN

Your child isn't just another seat.

BUILD FRIENDSHIPS

Children learn alongside a consistent small cohort.

CONTRIBUTE

Every child has something valuable to bring.

GROW TOGETHER

Children experience challenges, projects, reflection, and celebrations as a community.

We want children to learn that community isn’t simply where you receive support. It’s also where you learn to
support others

Community Is One of the First Places Children Practice Leadership.

Leadership begins in everyday moments.
Can I listen when someone else speaks?
Can I disagree respectfully?
Can I help?
Can I take responsibility?
Can I apologize?
Can I keep my word?
Can I work with someone whose idea is different from mine?
Can I celebrate someone else’s success?
Before children lead organizations, they learn how to live and work responsibly with people.

Parents Aren't Outside the Community. You're Part of It.

Parents know their child differently than educators do.
Educators see things parents may not always see at home.
When those perspectives communicate, everyone understands the child better.

Families stay connected through:

  • Parent conversations
  • Progress updates
  • Project showcases
  • Digital community access
  • Leadership events
  • Family learning experiences
  • Teacher communication

You shouldn’t have to wonder what’s happening inside your child’s education.

Community Doesn't End When Campus Days End. The Now Academy Digital Campus

The Academy’s private online community helps connect the learning taking place on campus with the
child’s guided-learning days at home.
Parents and students may use the digital environment for:

  • Guided learning activities
  • Assignments
  • Announcements
  • Resources
  • Project updates
  • Reflections
  • Family communication
  • Community conversations
  • Resources
  • Project updates
  • Reflections
  • Family communication
  • Community conversations

Technology supports the community. It doesn’t replace relationships.

Guided Online Doesn't Mean Parents Become the Teacher.

The Academy provides the structure, resources, activities, expectations, and instructional direction for
guided-online learning.
Parents help create the environment and support age-appropriate participation.
Because our Founding Cohort begins with Kindergarten, some adult assistance will naturally be needed
for technology, transitions, and certain activities.
Our goal is not to hand families a curriculum and say, “Good luck.”

The goal is partnership: Academy guidance + family support + growing student independence.

Different environments. One community.

How We Treat Each Other Matters.

These aren’t only words for a wall. They’re behaviors we want children—and adults—to practice.

Belonging Doesn't Require Everyone to Be the Same.

Children bring different personalities.
Different strengths.
Different interests.
Different experiences.
Different ways of learning.
A strong community doesn’t erase those differences.
It teaches children how to learn, communicate, collaborate, and show respect across them.

We want children to develop confidence in who they are while learning how to value other people too

Faith Shapes How We Live Together.

Biblical character influences how we think about:

  • Respect
  • Service
  • Forgiveness
  • Integrity
  • Responsibility
  • Compassion
  • Stewardship

“Do to others as you would have them do to you.” — Luke 6:31

Faith isn’t only something children study. It should influence how we treat people.

Founding Families Aren't Joining a Finished Community. They're Helping Establish It.

Every school tradition begins somewhere.
Every culture begins with someone’s choices.
Every community has a first group of people who decide what it will value.
Our Founding Families will help establish traditions around:

  • Project showcases
  • Leadership celebrations
  • Family events
  • Service
  • Community rituals
  • Student recognition
  • Parent partnership

The first cohort doesn’t inherit the culture. They help create it.

Partnership Doesn't Mean Mission by Committee.

We listen carefully to families.
We welcome thoughtful feedback.
We learn from experience.
And we continually improve.
At the same time, The Now Academy leadership remains responsible for protecting the Academy’s
educational philosophy, academic standards, faith foundation, safety requirements, and long-term
mission.

We listen collaboratively. We lead responsibly.

Children Need Adults Who Work Together Too.

The community isn’t only students and parents.
Lead Educators and Specialist Faculty collaborate to build a more complete picture of each child’s
learning.
Specialists contribute expertise.
The Lead Educator provides continuity.
Academy leadership helps align the experience.

One child. Multiple perspectives. One coordinated learning experience.

Learning Can Extend Beyond the Teaching Team.

As the Academy develops, students may encounter:

  • Entrepreneurs
  • Engineers
  • Scientists
  • Artists
  • Community leaders
  • Financial professionals
  • Business owners
  • Faith leaders

Other skilled professionals
through age-appropriate guest experiences, conversations, demonstrations, and projects.

As our community partnerships develop…
That maintains integrity.
Sometimes seeing what’s possible helps a child begin believing what’s possible.

Some Learning Deserves to Be Shared.

STUDENT SHOWCASES

Children explain what they built and learned.

BUSINESS DAYS

Students share age-appropriate business projects.

STEM DAYS

Families experience engineering and science together.

LEADERSHIP CELEBRATIONS

Recognize growth in responsibility, service, resilience, and character.

FAMILY LEARNING NIGHTS

Parents explore topics such as money, technology, learning habits, and child development.

We Celebrate More Than Getting the Right Answer.

We celebrate:

  • Trying again
  • Helping someone
  • Asking a strong question
  • Showing integrity
  • Finishing something difficult
  • Improving
  • Leading responsibly
  • Creating something

What a community celebrates teaches children what the community values.

Belonging Requires Safety.

Parents should understand that community does not mean unlimited access.

  • Student release procedures
  • Background screening
  • Visitor policies
  • Digital-community privacy
  • Media permissions
  • Behavior expectations
  • Parent communication protocols
  • Child safeguarding

Warm community and clear boundaries belong together.

We're Not Only Developing Students. We're Supporting Families.

The more adults understand what children are learning and why, the more effectively home and Academy can reinforce one another.

FAQs

Yes. Community is an important part of The Now Academy experience.

Throughout the school year, we plan to bring students and families together for meaningful in-person experiences such as Cultural Exchange Days, student project showcases, family workshops, community gatherings, special celebrations, and our annual Winter Celebration.

These events give parents an opportunity to see what their children are learning, celebrate their growth, connect with educators, and build relationships with other families.

At The Now Academy, we believe a strong school community should extend beyond the classroom. We want families to learn, celebrate, and grow together.

Think. Build. Lead.

Yes. We value thoughtful family feedback while Academy leadership remains responsible for educational

families are partners, educators collaborate, and Business, STEM, Leadership, faith, and character come
together.
