Why The Now Academy

Preparing the next generation of leaders through Business, STEM, character, and real-world learning, not just test scores.

Mission

To empower future leaders through a holistic, hands-on education that integrates Business, STEM, and biblical values.

Vision

We envision a generation of young leaders who are not only academically prepared but confident thinkers, ethical decision-makers, and problem solvers equipped to lead in a rapidly changing world.

Why We Exist

Because every child deserves more than worksheets, overcrowded classrooms, and outdated learning models.

They deserve an education that builds:

  • Character

  • Curiosity

  • Leadership

  • Real-world skills

The Problem We Solve

Traditional schools, especially in urban communities, face challenges that hold students back

And according to the U.S. Department of Education, many students graduate high school without basic financial literacy or real-world career skills.

Overcrowded classrooms

Make personalized learning nearly impossible.

Lack of practical skills

Like financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and STEM problem-solving.

Fragmented schedules

With long summer breaks cause students to lose momentum.

Minimal focus on leadership or values

Leaving students unprepared for life beyond academics.

The Now Approach

We believe education should be different.

At The Now Academy, our model is:

  • Personalized – Small class sizes (10–12 students) ensure every child is known, supported, and challenged.

  • Practical – Students learn through hands-on Business and STEM projects, leadership circles, and real-world problem solving.

  • Principled – Rooted in biblical values such as integrity, respect, honesty, and service.

  • Global – Inspired by world-class education systems to prepare students for the future.

Hybrid Learning Model

Students attend campus three days per week for hands-on learning, collaboration, leadership development, and project-based instruction.

The remaining two days are structured digital learning days, supported through our Heartbeat Digital Campus. These days help students build independence, responsibility, and strong study habits while continuing their academic progress.

This hybrid structure combines the energy of in-person learning with the flexibility of guided digital education, preparing students for both modern learning environments and future leadership opportunities.

Flexible Learning Accommodations

In certain circumstances, families may need temporary adjustments to their learning schedule. When appropriate, The Now Academy may provide short-term learning accommodations that allow students to continue progressing with their cohort while learning from home.

These arrangements are reviewed case-by-case and month-by-month to ensure students remain connected to the academic expectations, leadership development, and community culture of The Now Academy.

Our goal is to support families when needed while preserving the strong classroom community that defines the Academy experience.

How We Measure Growth

We measure more than test scores. Growth at The Now Academy means:

  • Academics: Mastery in Business, STEM, and core subjects through year-round learning.
  • Leadership: Daily participation in our Morning Leadership Circle and project showcases.
  • Participation: Active involvement in community events, cultural exchanges, and teamwork.
  • Character: Living out honesty, integrity, and respect in daily actions.

Our goal isn’t just more brilliant students; it’s stronger leaders.

What Makes The Now Academy Different

Most schools focus primarily on preparing students to pass tests and move from grade to grade.

At The Now Academy, our mission is to develop leaders, innovators, and responsible thinkers from the very beginning of their education.

Our model is intentionally designed to combine strong academics, character formation, leadership development, and real-world learning experiences within small, supportive learning communities.

Traditional Schools

  • Heavy focus on memorization and standardized testing

  • Large classrooms with limited individualized attention

  • Academic subjects taught separately from real-world application

  • Limited opportunities for leadership development

  • Learning often disconnected from practical life skills

The Now Academy

  • Hands-on business and entrepreneurship projects that build real-world thinking

  • Small cohort learning communities (10–15 students per class)

  • Leadership development woven into daily learning

  • STEM exploration through coding, robotics, and innovation projects

  • Character formation rooted in biblical values

  • A cohort model where students grow together year after year

The difference isn’t just what students learn; it’s who they become.

Each year, The Now Academy welcomes new kindergarten cohorts, while existing students advance together through the program. This structure creates a consistent learning culture where students develop strong relationships, shared values, and a clear leadership mindset.

Our goal is not simply to graduate students, but to train young people who are prepared to succeed in high school, college, careers, and entrepreneurship while maintaining the principles they learned early in life.

Why This Matters for Your Child

Children learn best in environments where they are known, challenged, and guided consistently.

By combining small class sizes, leadership training, hands-on learning, and a strong community culture, The Now Academy helps students develop the confidence, discipline, and character needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

The Now Academy begins with Kindergarten, where students start their learning journey within our unique educational model. Because our program is built on a consistent philosophy of leadership, character, business, and STEM education, students begin together and grow within the program.

For this reason, we do not accept mid-year transfers or later grade-level admissions. Our goal is to build strong foundations early and equip students with the mindset and skills they will carry with them into high school, college, careers, and entrepreneurship.

Students at The Now Academy are prepared for future success through a strong academic foundation combined with leadership development, entrepreneurship, and STEM learning.

Each year, The Now Academy admits a new kindergarten cohort, while existing students continue advancing to the next grade level together. This cohort model allows students to grow within a consistent learning environment rooted in the academy’s philosophy of leadership, character, and real-world learning.

To maintain a strong learning culture and personalized attention, each class is intentionally limited to 10–15 students, with a goal of up to five kindergarten classes per year.

As students progress through the academy, they are equipped with the academic skills, character formation, and entrepreneurial mindset needed to succeed in high school, college, future careers, or starting their own ventures.
